I woke up at 8.32am this morning.
I am meant to leave the house at 8.28am.
Therein lies the problem.
Mother drove Freya and I to school, so we were like, ten minutes early instead ofthe normal two minutes. On the way down from teh street behind the school, I spotted the everyone, and so abandoned the idea of actually going o my locker or checking the notices before tutor group. But yes. Jacinta stole Toby's cards, so he picked her up and Cameron got the cards back. Then Toby said he had a sore back, and said I could either kiss it better or massage his back. I politely declined both offers =p, but ended up rubbing his shoulders anyway, which Cameron (predictably enough) decided to take in a rather less innocent way than the way it should have been taken. w00t! I just typed that whole last sentence without looking at the keyboard or screen once, and no mistakes at all!! Squee!
Anyway, I had... science first. The teacher has this silly idea that doing work would improve my grade. Pfft, infidels.
Outdoor ed was uber boring, tagged along with Jen and Lisa up Red Hill... nothing of intererererestedity.
Recess... um... I might remember it... maybe... if I wait long enough... um.... nup, it's gone. Damn.
World Issues - watched this random video about like, this, Ethiopian kid pretending to be Jewish to get out of Ethiopia... or something... it was in like, Russian or something, so it had subtitles.
Lunch - Fairly gewd, fairly gewd. I discovered that Toby is incredibly ticklish. That was fun. =D. *giggles* After the bell went, I gotted a hug from Toby, and he was like, "Yeah, that's right Amy, be jealous" over my shoulder, so he he. Cause I would've been jealous if I were her. But yes, also, Rosalind is unamusing, and I need to remember to bring in Black Books o I can lend it to Madeleine. I'd have to get them back over the holidays, though. I can't survive two empty weeks without Bernard Black. ^-^
Photography was kind of uninteresting. Like, it wasn't boring, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary or requiring great skill.
English is where I am now, and clearly not requiring any attention or effort. Hehe. Heh. Hehehehhehe. Heheheheheheehehehehheehheee*fwoom*
Caitlin spontaneously combusted.
Yay!
Anyway, there be'eth only fifteen minutes left, so I shall be offwards in an attempt to find something vaguely more itneresting to do.
Yay!
Bye byes.

Eye-pain.
There is soap in my eyes.
=
Pain.
Bad typing.
Pain, goddamnit.
Haven't bloggitied since like, Friday. But hey. I usually only blog when I run out of things to do, and I haven't done that in a while. After reading 1984, I went on to read two random un-mention-worthy school library books and Animal Farm. W00t, reading-spree!
Anyway, apart from that, have been doing my science assignment (Handed in on time, no less), and scanning even more things...
e.g., my piano music. XD

See? Music Box Dancer. Everybody recognises it when they hear it. It's one of those ice cream truck songs.
Aaach, my eyes hurt, and so does my back... must... blog... *twitch*
Freya took ages to use the printer this morning, so we were nearly late... but got to and on the bus with no real issues.
World Issues... random assessment piece, got at least eighty-five percent, average was eighty.
Photography - bitched rather a lot at Becky, Ethan and Martin, cause I had a headache and they were making a lot of noise. Yeah, it was an overreaction, but hey. I'm a horrible person.
Recess, I don't really remember...
English, looked at my pickitures, and oh, m oi, gawd.
I saw this shirt with the first 4339 digits of pi arranged to form the symbol for pi.
I want it.
I also want, "No, I will not fix your computer for you", and "There are 10 types of people in this world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't". Maybe the "I *heart* Geeks" one, too...
Lunchtime... everyone was at the Central Trip meeting, so then Jared came and sat with us, and we decided that global warming wouldn't be half as bad as it is if the twig forest were still there. Then when Becky and I got up to go hand things in before the bell, we spotted Toby, and his *airquote* "sexy" Central Trip shirt. Which he modelled for us, very stylishly. Then we kidnapped him and took him with us to hand in Becky's English portfolio and my science assignment, and we were going to bring him to Japanese, but he ran away. *pout* And he randomly picked me up again. Yay for being light!
Japanese... peh. Making a tiny start on the assignment...
Maths - boring. Relief teacher got miss executive teacher in to yell at us for not working...
Bus - no seatsies! Till a few people left, then Madeleine and I pounced on some newly vacated seats.
Got home... talkéd to Miss Melissa, and to teh Mess, who's only getting a mention in case he eventually gets to this post... pfft, why start reading from the bottom? Anyway. Waah, no one was online this afternoon. And now there are more people online, but they're not talking! Waaah! Gr, stoopid people... *shakes fist*
Anyway, that be itteth for teh night.
Oh, no, wait. Second week of the holidays (four days to go... I can make it, I can make it!) I'm going to Noosa, with no parents, and no siblings! SqueeeEEEee! I'm going with teh aunt and co. Awesomeness.
Anyway, that actually does be it for teh night.

Read book.
Come on, you can do it, it only took me three hours.
Damn good book. Scary, disconcertingly familiar, but damn good.

Spleen of the Day
Spleen Pie, served with a side of roasted spleen, sprinkled with Mongolian spleen cheese.
May I recommend the spleen juice?

May I recommend the spleen juice?

We had some crazy Indian relief teacher for maths. Madeleine is writing some story about some idea we had... funniness-thing... and she was drawing some disturbing picture...
Science was shmeh... 65%ish on my test... hell, at least I passed; Ethan didn't. Jared got the highest mark in the class, yay for him and cleverness and stuff. Madeleine got... I dunno, something fairly good.
Recess... I said, "Who'll be my windshield?", and Toby said, "No one's big enough to be a windshield.", and I hmphed and said, "Are you implying that I'd need somebody really fat to be a windshield for me?" and he's like, "Nooo! I didn't mean it like that!", and all cuteliness and funniness... heh. Then a bit later, I'm like, "Who's going to lift me up? I don't want to have my feet on the ground anymore.", and Toby picked me up as he walked past. Hee... ain't he cute? Kawaii-ne. =P
Outdoor ed was shneh. Went up Red Hill, my legs got all scratched and Kelsey fell through a bush and into a puddle.
Hee hee. ^-^
Lunch was meh. Went out and sat at the cricket nets, boring.
World Issues was fine, more worksheet stuffs.
Photography was pretty cool, got to check out our Floríade photos. Quite a few good ones.
":: Caitlyn :: Curiouser and curiouser... :: says: (10:48:15 PM)
My school canteen sells spleen.

O.o

Sure, it calls it 'beef pie', but like...

Y'know..."
Heheheh...

Mongolian Spleen Cheese
There were no buses this morning, and mother neglected to tell Freya and me this, even though she admitted later that she had in fact seen it on the late news last night. So, great. No buses to get to school. So we walked halfway, before Talea saw us and her mother gave us a lift the rest of the way. In their tiny car full of horse stuff, dog stuff, hay, and a dog that had a rather creepy preoccupation with licking my hair.
Outdoor ed sucked. Red Hill walk, and even though Becky was there, for once, she had ridiculous shoes. Sure, they were pretty, but not walking shoes. So I had to go up alone. Again. Fun-fun-fun.
World Issues... shmeh, worksheet stuff. Got my assignment back, 93% XD
Floríade excursion was teh awesome. Martin and I teased Becky and Ethan for like, the whole time... So fun... and funny... and there were ducks and flowers and sunshine and I spun in circles a lot.
English was mehly boring.
Japanese was mehly boring, also. Becky and I went down to the library to do the assignment, before realising we had no idea how to. Saw Jess & talked a bit to her. Borrowed a couple of books. As we were leaving, the librarian said, "I can't make Rory smile. Tickle him or something" and Becky said, "Oh, I'll make him smile eventually..." and I laughed so loudly at her, till she realised why I was laughing and hit me, but then she laughed too, and she said she'd make Ethan smile, too. Bahahah.
Bus was farly gewd. Musickied and talked to Jess... may sell her my mp3 player, as I don't use it. I'd like money... Before I do, though, I want to record some of my piano-ing so I can have it on teh computerlings...
Yes... Got home, computer'd, tried to convince mother to let me stay home from school t'morrer, argued with father, watched telly, ate a bit, but not much... ended up here.
Oh, man.
I love these pants.
Black. Silk-lined. Hell yeah.
They're more comfy than my jeans OR my trackpants. Awesome.
Anyway, that was random.
Anyway, I be's offs. Twootle-oo.
Oh, and here be pictures.

Ooh, even more pictures... and maybe even a post...
Avast, today be international talk like a pirate day ;)
Apart from that...
I have no pants.
Just thought you'd all like to know =P
The ducks took them.
So, bus was really late, so tutor group was extended a little bit, then we had assembly first and got ranted and raved at by the principal (I fell asleep on Toby's shoulder...) cause of some recent fights, and apparently "One or two students will not be returning to this school." Omigod, they got expelled! Only expulsions in the past four years... wow. Part from that startling revelation, boringness. Photography first was pretty cewl, we didn't have long, though, so we just got to print the Red Hill Road Trip one...
And I brought my photography portfolio home to scan, as seen in some of the photos at the top.
English was meh.
Recess is something that I can't remember... I think it was cold.
Japanese... didn't really do much, but apparently Miss Teacher Sensei is preggernantied. Ooh, wow. The class randomly burst into applause when she told us, before Coco added, "I was wondering why you were so fat!".
Tactful, eh?
Lunch... Becky went off to do schoolish stuff in the library, leaving me to sit around while Toby made her a ring out of gum leaves for when she came back, and Rosalind failed to make herself one. Then Toby made me a ring, but Becky's and mine both fell apart when we put them on. Pout. But I got a twig of eucalyptus blossom... which I scanned. Yay.
Maths = meh, boring. Science = also meh, also boring.
Got home, sat round online, did nothing, got yelled at for never doing anything. Watched TV and ate. Scribbled. Made my bed, out of pure boredom. I want to remove everything from my room except my bed, and put white linen on that. I want emptiness. Peh, made bed. And am now online again. Fun-fun.
I hate mosquito-moth-things.
Gr...
Anyway, being eaten by insects is no fun, and nothing interesting is happening, so. I be's off.

Fail
I give up.
I just, completely, and utterly give up.
Summarising my subjects -
Outdoor Ed - Done about two pages of a forty page workbook, haven't started three week overdue assignment. Failed. Given up on.
World Issues - Remarkably, perfectly up to date, possibly even on an A.
Photography - Actually possibly passing, provided I remember my Floriade note tomorrow... probably about a B.
English - I should probably start the essay... it was kind of due a week ago... don't know and don't want to know what my grade is...
Japanese - Never get any workbook done, need to do assignment, haven't even come up with a topic... ditto grade to English... and a test t'morrow...
Maths - I don't even know what topic we're doing. Test on Wednesday week... probably failing, unless I can über-quickly teach myself the night before like I did last time...
Science - test today, think I failed...
School overall = I give up.
People = I give up. There are a few exceptions. Toby's been v. sweet and nice lately, but now Becky's back he'll go back to worshipping her instead of me. Pout.
And I think I've probably pissed off the one person I thought I actually connected with.
Which leaves me totally screwed and alone again.
Wuunderful...
Schewl t'day...
Japanese first - did nothing.
Maths - did nothing but argue with teacher.
Recess - Lay on grass and absorbed sun. Mm... sunlight...
Science - failed test. But at least I failed it quickly...
Lunch - we were in teh gym. Sat around with Toby and Becky for a while. Then we got up and sort of played basketball. Becky & I stole teh tennis balls off Stephen & Ethan for amusement for a while. Toby and Becky were wearing jumpers, and I'm like, "You two must be boiling!" cause it was like thirty degrees, and Toby's like, "Oh, I'm always hot.", so we laughed at that...
Outdoor Ed - did nothing.
World Issues - random work, talked to teacher about An Inconvenient Truth. (Go see it.)
Eeeh... caught teh 493 home with Jess & Madeleine... beh.
Beh.
Beh.
Beh.
"YOUR HAIR FEELS LIKE FRESHLY GROUND COFFEE BEANS! AND IT'S THE COLOUR OF COFFEE!"
"No it's not, it's black! ... oh, I get it, black coffee... oh, shit...."
"You smell like.... COFFEE!"
"That's aftershave, you insane, hyperactive..."
Quotle from one of Teh Madeleine's random story things... a reason it's probably a good thing I don't drink coffee...
Anyway, I be feeling fairly shite, so I be's off...

In-ter-ess-teeng...
I was listening to - forgive me for this - ABC Radio National with mother the other day, and this guy came on. This poet guy. Obviously I got bored and wandered away. I wandered back again, though, in time to hear him reading this. I liked it, and found it amusing, and so thought I'd share.Go buy his book, if you want to support him. I'm not sure where you'd get it, but I think it's called 'The Shout'. Lewks cewl. The guy's entertaining.
Enjoy.

Formal Strawberries
So I was planning on not leaving my room at all today. I wasn't even going to get up and have breakfast or come online. But mother had to go and spoil that. I suppose tis rather a gewd thing she did.
We went out with Trish and Kevin and their boarder Merina to see An Inconvenient Truth. Damn good movie. Yes, it's a documentary. Yes, it's by that random American politician. But damn, it's a good movie. Go see it. Seriously. If you don't, I'll have you killed. Just go see it. It's really compelling, it's got some very hard to ignore facts and figures, the senator guy is very persuasive and even rather likeable, as well as quite funny. Great movie, go see it. I'm not sure about anywhere else, but in Canberra it's showing at Manuka's Greater Union. They should be showing it at Hoyts, it'd get the message out further, but hey. It's worth the trip to Manuka.
After seeing that movie (You should see it. Go see it now. If you can't right now, book tickets online. Right now.) we went and got coffees, hot chocolates, juices and milkshakes, and sat around and talked about it. Everyone agreed it was a great movie. Which is why you should go see it.
Anyway, then Mother, Trish, Merina and I left Kevin to wander happily around Paperchain while we went... dum dum dum... formal dress shopping. Merina's in year twelve, so she was looking for a formal dress for her, and I, as you should know, am in year ten, and therefore also have a formal coming up. So yeah. We went to Momento, and gawd, the sales ladies, they spoil you as soon as you step through the door. All you can hear is "Yes, that really is gorgeous, it shows off your beautiful figure and delicate skin, and oh, that colour really brings out the blue in your eyes, which are lovely by the way, and...". It's the sort of thing you come away from giggling and smiling. Once we got away from the shop, though, it was back to being sarcastic and cynical. Joyous joy. =P
So yes, that was my expedition to Manuka... Anyways... got back, lounged for about ten minutes, then got dragged out again for exercise. Got back from that, sat down for five minutes, then had to get up again to make dinner. I drank about three litres of milk in the process, before mother confiscated all the milk bottles. Anyway... ate dinner... somehow managed to taste far-lee gewd, I may be gaining some vague skills in cooking... watched Doctor Who, which was a rather shitey episode, but meh. Not enough of Rose and the Doctor. Meh. Creature Comforts twas amusing. The worm got abducted by aliens...
Watched the Iron Chef with Bridie, for some reason. The dubbing on that never ceases to amuse me. Well, nearly never. They don't actually pronounce any of the Japanese words right... heh.
Yes indeedy, now here I am being bored.
So anyway, that's the story of how my plan to spend the day in bed was spoiled. I figure I'll just be able to do it tomorrow. I just want to know if I actually have any reason to get out of bed when I'm not dragged by mother.
Anyways, time be now for the Caitlyn to be runningks away.
Bye bye, little acorns.
Curiouser and Curiouser...
So, there was a fire alarm at skewl t'day, just before the last bell. Which means that basically everybody just walked off t'wards the end thar.
Argh... I'm thinking in pirate speak. I blame the Dane for that. Him and his Talk Like A Pirate Day stuffs... Bah, tis providing of the amusements, which makes up for screwing around with my mind.
My ass has pins and needles.
Poor donkey.
So... today I got up even later then yesterdee, but that's cause I was online last night... at least I got to the bus stop on time today, though. Early, in fact, and I saw Martin riding on the way.
Um... I don't remember what I had first. World Issues, that was it... finished off a worksheet... didn't really do anything particularly exciting, but meh.
Photography... I literally did not do a single thing all lesson but sit and breathe.
I don't remember recess, and English was a chaotic but rather amusing mess. We were supposed to be making collages, which resulted in newspapers, magazines, gluesticks, and scissors everywhere, and the teacher playing poker with the guys up the back.
Lunch was... meh, first half was meh, then Toby went and got his guitar and played Lighthouse. Cause he's super and talented like that =P And Jared came over and we discovered that - gawd no! - the twig forest had mysteriously vanished! I blame the nazi pixies...
Japanese was another totally empty lesson, as was maths. I've started a new scribble page, though I may have mentioned that already...
I'm meant to be doing my outdoor ed assignment that was due a few weeks ago, but meh.
Sigh. I'll probably fail anyway. But oh well.
Anyway, sleepiness.
Fare thee well, and beware the mushrooms.
... must ipso facto half not be...

"Oddliness is next to Godliness". Quote courtesy of Jared. =P
It took me nearly an hour to get out of bed this morning, even though I went to bed at some obscenely sensible hour like 9.30... I did read for a bit, but even so... meh.
Anyway, Freya and I both ended up being slightly late, so Father drove us to school.
I had... English first. I don't actually remember what we did... something along the lines of nothing, most probably...
Japanese... was pointless, and in 210, so. Computeriness. And no work done, surprisingly enough.
Recess passed relatively quickly... I don't actually remember any of it...
Maths... was meh, as per usual... anf half the time we weren't even meant to be working... cause so many people were at the Bell Shakespeare thing...
Lunch was far-lee gewd. Talked to Toby, who seems to have taken up referring to me as 'Honey-bun', till he wandered off somewhere, then talked to Jared, who was building a forest of twigs, which was the orsm'st twig forest evarr, especially when I added my supreme leaf'd twig +7.2. That was pretty cewl.
I also don't remember science, but I think it was fairly similar to English, only with blue paper and an iPod with no batteries...
Outdoor ed involved sitting in the middle of a soccer game on the oval, before wandering over to a bench thing and starting a new page of gorgeous scribbles, just like the ones you can see in the post below this one. Gorgeous.
Got home, ate wafers and corn chips - ooh, that reminds me, I left some corn chips for later in this drawer... yay, food... - blobbed, uploaded the rest of my ser-mex-i-fied pick-i-tcharz... Generally did nothing...
Ate some food, watched some TV, and somehow ended up here...
My day really has no substance at all. Neither does anything I do, but hey, I still have corn chips.
And at the end of the day - or the start of the next day, in this case - that's all that matters.
That and the swirly colours.
Far-thee-wahl.

One out of four... [Edit: Four out of four! Yay!]
I only had time to upload one pickitcha, cause blogger isn't letting me upload, so I have to upload them to photobucket, then link from there, and that took ages for me to work out, so, only one pic. This one's the second last page of my English book.
[Edit: The son of a freaking doughnut doesn't want to show up... I give up, I'll try again either t'night or t'morrer...]
Trying again, these *should* work...

This one's the second last page of my maths book...

And the last page...

The last page of my English book, and the first of these pages that I did.

The second last page of my English book.
~~~~~
Enjoy =P
Pocket Muffin!
So... got back from the docto by midlunch... generally mucked around. Toby was randomly patting the back of my leg, so I laughed and shuffled away, and Stephen laughed at us, cause he's an idiot. Will was pretending to kiss Toby, then Toby pretended to die, and Will and Megan and Anna resuscitated him. Then I stole his hat, then gave it back, then took it again, and he was pretending to hold me hostage till he got the hat back, and I managed to choke myself on his arm by leaning forward. *pout* But I forgave him cause he apologised lots and said I made him feel guilty by pouting. Hehe. =P
Nyes-nyes. In English I gave Madeleine my two books and teh flash drive so that she could scan the back pages and put them on the drive for me, so I can get them tomorrow and upload them then. She went to put the flash drive in her right pocket, and then goes, "Nah, I think I'll put it in the other pocket, there's crumbs in that one." and I'm like, "Crumbs?" and she goes, "Yeah, I had a muffin in there earlier."... a muffin in her pocket? How strange. Argh! Bad mind, on second thoughts that soudns like some awful, awful euphemism. Trauma!! To quote one of those random fanfics Madeleine often has, "Brain, I'm going to have you lobotomised for this."
Japanese was meh, we watched Totoro, and my head hurt and I felt all sickliness... then I continued to feel sickliness on the bus, and there was some stupid year seven brat whistling the entire way behind me. But I went past the shops and got a drink, and after being outside for a bit on the way home, I was finenessed.
Singing too-ra-lie
Oo-ra-lie attidy
Singing too-ra-lie
Oo-ra-lie-ay
Singing too-ra-lie
For we're bound
For Botany Bay
Stuck. In. My. Head. Damn sadistic year two choir teacher... grumble, grumble.
I also have the theme music from The Piano stuck in my head. Even though I've never seen it. I blame my old piano teacher. I don't even know what that movie was about, but she taught me to play the theme music. And now it's stuck in my head. Hoo-rah.
And some random song from Les Miserables, which I've also not seen, but hey, that one's another one I blame the choir teacher for.
Anyways, I be's off. Twootles. *waves*
Randomosity The Second
Wow, once again I neglected my poor little blog yesterday... I think.... Yeah, think I did... And once again the world didn't end, golly gosh. So like, doctor's appointment in half an hour ish, and I've got to go for that in fifteen minutes or so. Martin was laughing at me for being so blog-obsessed before, but like... pfft. I'm not so blog-obsessed as I used to be, I'm not even as internet-obsessed.... I'm not really anything obsessed, and I've been really sort of, detatched from everything lately. I think that's fine; I feel reasonably alright, but like... I don't connect to anything, but it doesn't matter somehow. Meh, tis all gewd.
So like, stuff. Dane surprised me the other day, as I may have mentioned, by being rather more talkative than usual, and rather less 'I'm better than the rest of the world' than usual as well. Twas odd... Dane has this habit of saying something along the lines of "But not as awesome as me." whenever I say anything is awesome, and then he suddenly didn't and stuff the other day. He is awesome though, probably my second or third favourite person, not that I'd say that to his face. Funny though, my three favourite people are guys... though my fourth and fifth are both girls. But like, guys usually seem to be funnier and less whiney than girls, and less inclined to rant and rave about shoes or shopping... girls just irritate me most of the time. Pheenix-girl doesn't count, cause she's cool, but she's friends with Dane, so of course she was gonna be cool. Falling-grace-girl is also awesome, but she's friends with Edward, so of course she was gonna be fun. But like, three favourite people are Edward, Josh and Dane, and Josh and Dane are possibly tied, but I dunno. And like, meh, I'm not sure where this was leading.
Heheh, Martin gotted in trouble for eating in class. Tsk, tsk. And all that.
Hiccup.
Man I'm bored... Oh, Freya was ranting and raving abouthow good this song was, and I'm like, meh, and then she said it was by RHCP, and I'm like, yeah, probably good then, and then she said it was an old RHCP song, and I'm like, yeah, should be good, and then I heard it, and like, it was Under The Bridge, and I'm like, Heeey! I know this song! And it was awesomeness. I want to get that song now, though, as well as Can't Stop and The Zephyr Song, and a few others, but I can't, ause the computer sucks...
But like, yeah, doctorness time... Buh byes =)
Fecking Brick
Ouch. Head = pain.
I got up at some obscenely sensible hour this morning... eight o'clock or something... sat around, listened to music, read, ate way too much...
Pheh.
Didn't actually spend too much time on the computer... there isn't that much point in being online at the moment... meh.
Managed to spend a very long time doing nothing at all...
Just randomly, my legs smell like pawpaw.
How very curious.
Sigh.
I saw that guy, on Parkinson, the one who was in Father Ted... who played Dougal... That was a funny show... I hardly remember any of it except that it was funny... I remember the episode with Father Jack's pet brick, and the milk truck that was gonna exlpode if it went slower than 40... and Dougal was driving it, and ended up putting the brick on the accelorator... I don't remember who set it up to be all explodey, though... and I remember Father Jack's eyesight test... and that's about it...
Hiccup.
Hm... I was gonna try post a YouTube video for Death of a Martian, but the only one I found was this retarded clip from some cartoon with the song in the background... mneh...
Sneeze = nasal implosion.
Wow, somebody just talked to me a lot more than I expected them to... it was a very cool somebody, and one I respect and like a fair bit, so yay, I feel honoured... if only the topic had been less... stressed, I suppose. At least I'm not the only one feeling a bit weird lately...
I just realised before, how completely empty my day is when I take computerring out of it... and how few friends I have when I ignore those who technically I don't know... I really, really need to get a life... but hey, pfft, later, y'know? Or not at all... that too. Meh, confusion. Self-induced confusion, at that. But meh.
I really have absolutely no idea at all what I'm talking about anymore, so I'll just be leaving now...
Bye byes, everybody.
Berry Smoothies
Death of a Martian is now my favourite song for a while. It's about one of the RHCP guys' dog that died, but I'm not sure whose it was... it's kinda sad... specially considering the saddish RHCP songs tend not to sound that sad unless you listen to them. This one sounds sad without listening to the lyrics. But yeah.
So! Squee! You guyses! Madeleine says she can scan the back two pages of my English book and maths book! Yay! Then I can post em up here, and you guys can see why I never get any work done at school.
Got my progress report back t'day. Satisfactory achievement for everything except Outdoor Ed, which doesn't count anyway, and I got a borderline rather than unsatisfactory, anyway. Satisfactory effort/achievement for everything except maths and outdoor ed, which were borderline. Apparently a concern for both those teachers is my "lack of positive involvement in class"... hehe... Well, once I get my scribble pages up, you'll be able to see why.
We had some random Bundah College Japanese teachers round in the Japanese lesson today, they seemed really nice, but I'm going to Canberra, not Narrabundah, so. And I won a little pretty fabric thing for getting questions right, watashi wa tensai kara des. "Cause I'm a genius". And the student teacher type lady, Hogan-sensei asked for the url of this blog, so Hey miss, if you end up checking this out, hello =P
Ooh, my spit is purple... berry smoothie!
So yeah... nothing much up. Jess and I got these awesome seats on the bus, and like, comfiness to teh max.
We had Ms Sharma for English, and the funny thing is she can hardly speak English herself, so she just went and sat at her desk and let me scribble in my book. But she wouldn't let me listen to music. Grr...
Science was in the library, so I sat around and listened to Madeleine's music with her and Jared, and we sat round the computer and generally looked at random stuff like my blog and these random comic things of Madeleine's... cept Jared ran away then, hehe.
Yeah, not much going on. 'm feeling pretty good, apart from missing Someone rather more than I perhaps should... mm. I can sort of ignore that for a while, and while I'm ignorig it, I can feel pretty good.
I'm gonna post the lyrics to Death of a Martian, cause it's awesomeness. They're not quite right, but I couldn't be bothered fixing them. On second thoughts... I fixed them a little, but not too much, cause I'm lazy.
Voila:
Bear paws and rascal power
Watching us in your garage
Big girl you ate the neighbor
The nova is over
Wake up and play
By the radio
Make room for Clara's bare feet
The love of a martian
Tick tock and waiting for the meteor
This clock is opening another door
Lots of love just keep it comin'
Making something out of nothin'
These are the best that I
I don't know how to say
Losin' what I love today
These are the best that I
Lots of love just keep it comin'
Making something out of nothin'
These are the best that I
I don't know what to say
Look at what I lost today
And these are the things that I
Blood flowers in the kitchen
Signing off and winding down
This martain ends her mission
The nova is over
She caught the ball
By the mission bell
Chase lizards bark at donkeys
The love of a martian
Let's bow our heads
And let the trumpets blow
Our girl is gone
God bless her little soul
(She's got the sword in case
Though this is not her lord incase
The one who can't afford to face
Her image is restored to grace.
Disappeared.
No trace.
Musky tears.
Suitcase.
The down turn brave
Little burncub bearcareless turnip snare
Rampages pitch color pages...
Down and out but not in Vegas.
Disembarks and disengages.
No loft.
Sweet pink canary cages plummet pop dewskin fortitude
For the sniffing black noses that snort and allude
To the dangling trinkets that mimic the dirt cough go drink its.
It's for you.
Blue battered naval town slip kisses delivered by duck
Muscles and bottlenosed grifters arrive in time to catch the late show.
It's a beehive barrel race.
A shehive stare and chase wasted feature who tried and failed to reach her.
Embossed beneath a box in the closet that's lost.
The kind that you find when you mind your own business.
Shiv sister to the quickness before it blisters into the newmorning milk blanket.
Your ilk is funny to the turnstyle touch bunny whose bouquet set a course for bloom without decay.
Get you broom and sweep the echoes of yesterday's fallen freckles... away...)
Bear paws and rascal power
Watching us in your garage
Big girl you ate the neighbor
The nova is over
Wake up and play
By the radio
Make room for Clara's bare feet
The love of a martian
Tick tock and waiting for the meteor
This clock is opening another door
Lots of love just keep it comin'
Making something out of nothin'
These are the best that I
I don't know how to say
Losin' what I love today
These are the best that I
Lots of love just keep it comin'
Making something out of nothin'
These are the best that I
I don't know what to say
Look at what I lost today
And these are the things that I
Blood flowers in the kitchen
Signing off and winding down
This martain ends her mission
The nova is over
She caught the ball
By the mission bell
Chase lizards bark at donkeys
The love of a martian
Let's bow our heads
And let the trumpets blow
Space Pineapples
Whee hee, pineapple.
Heh, remembering this episode of Black Books - Manny gets all paranoid about it reaching 88 degrees, saying that if it does, something terrible will happen. This of course sparks Bernard's curiousity, and he does everything he can to get the temperature to 88. This includes things like putting the books in the oven in tin foil, so that Manny has to open it to get to them, convincing Manny that hot water bottles will make him cold, and giving Manny an incredibly warm jacket. When he gives him the jacket, he says something like,
"It's what the astronauts wear to keep them cool. It actually draws heat away from your body."
Manny replies, "I didn't know it was hot in space."
And Bernard says, "Of course it's warm in space! Where do you think we get pineapples from?"
Anyways, it's quite amusing.
Fifteen minuets - not a typo - to waste... Minuet in D, Minuet in C, Minuet in G... there aren't actually fifteen notes... I suppose I could use sharps an flats... but I doubt there are that many minuets. And now I have Minuet in D stuck in my head. Oh, hurrah. The ants were marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah, the ants were marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah.
Baaah! It's so boring with Becky away. Again. Grr... but now she's at her grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. It's my grandparents' 60th in April next year. And twas my parents' 18th in February. They were together for exactly two years before they were married, so 20 years for them. I'm pretty lucky, to have parents who still clearly love each other after twenty years. A lot of people I know have separated parents, or parents who argue all the time. Mine are still close, and cute together. They even still flirt, though subtley, but that's kinda traumatising.
Heh, my parents were match-made by my mother's sister and brother-in-law and my father's sister. My aunt and uncle needed their house house-sat while they were in Europe somewhere, and they first had mum organised to do it, then she decided not to, so they arranged for dad to do it, cause mother's sister was friends with father's sister, they rowed together, but then mother decided that she did want to housesit, and Adair and Nigel just figured they'd let both of them housesit... and it went from there. I don't want to think too much about it :P
My father is ten years and eleven days older than my mother. Some people freak out about that, but like... once people get to a certain age, they're all basically the same. *shrugs* Meh.
Anyway...
Boredom. I kind of finished the montage, but I don't want to print it till Becky's seen it and agreed with it or changed anything that she doesn't think is right, cause it's a groupwork thing.
Anyways. Five minutes or so left. I'm boreded. Therefore, running away times.
Buh byes.
Quiz
Toe-Knuckle-Martian-Century
Ouch. Major toe-pain-age. Seriously, ouchness. My toe-knuckle is deciding that it would be a good idea to cause me as much pain as possible. And what I find vaguely amusing is that this random arthritis cream stuff mother put on it actually worked, ish. Gawd, I'm getting old o.o"
So I've practically finished this world issues assignment. It took about three hours. If I'd started earlier, it would've been done really quickly, and over with, but that's not the way I approach things. I poke at them, add and remove single sentences about once a day for two weeks, then, the day before it's due, I do the lot in a few hours.
It's just the way I work.
I've gone a little RHCP mad... like, more than before.
I like their almost-new stuff the most. Not their old-old-old stuff, and not really the latest album. I mean sure, it - Stadium Arcadium - is awesome, but Scar Tissue, Otherside, Can't Stop, By The Way, and The Zephyr Song are better for sittin' round and list'ning to, and just like... forgive my use of the word, but 'chilling'. Good music, good lyrics, just good for relaxing with.
Off the Stadium Arcadium album, though... on the first CD (Jupiter), I like Dani California, Snow, the chorus of Charlie, Stadium Arcadium, She's Only 18, Slow Cheetah, Strip My Mind, Wet Sand, and Hey. On the second CD (Mars), I like Desecration Smile, Tell Me Baby, Hard To Concentrate (kinda), 21st Century, She Looks To Me, Make You Feel Better, So Much I, Storm in a Teacup, We Believe, Turn It Again, and Death of a Martian. The lyrics at the end of Death of a Martian are messed up, 's great. I know what most of them are about, too... or some of them, actually.. My sister and I have this theory that Dani California is this idea of a girl, cause in By the Way, there's the line, "Dani the girl is singing songs to me beneath the marquee", and then there's Californiacation, and Dani California, and there's no way a real girl coulda lasted that long. I also thought it could be the writer's mother - "Getting born in the state of Mississippi, papa was a copper and my mama was a hippie". Cause that would lead nicely into Dani California being about his 'mama' and her hippieness. Just random thoughts, though. I like the feel from Strip My Mind, it's the perfect music to lie around to. Just lie round, chill, read, think, it's great. The songs on the second CD took a lot more getting used to. I liked Tell Me Baby and 21st Century from the beginning, but I had to listen to the others for a bit before I warmed to them. They're pretty cool, though. Storm in a Teacup has funny lyrics... I like Make You Feel Better, too, it's a happy-makey-song... "Somehow, we'll make it, cause that's what they do"
"Something out there, where love is your only friend"
Anyways... Music, man. Awesome. I've no idea how I'd survive without it. It makes me happy, makes me sad, relaxes me, gets me hyper, I'd feel so blank without it. Like, more than I do anyway...
I was talking to... I think it was Pheenix-girl-person... if it wasn't her, it was Melissa (who is also a new addition to the awesome list =P), but I think it was Pheenix, talking to one of them, and I said something like, "I love music; it's a distraction, and I live on distractions.", and I realised, yeah, I do. I don't really do anything. Everything I do that I enjoy is simply a distraction from what I should be doing. Talking to people, listening to music, reading, gaming, drawing... They're all just ways to escape from real life, and the crap I 'have' to do, like school. Perhaps it's because I have so little real substance in my life, but everything I ever do seems to be completely unnecessary... meh. It keeps me entertained, I suppose.
Anyway. That's basically what I'm doing now. If you take out reading, I'm making use of all my distractions at once. I'm only not reading cause my books're in the other room, and also cause if I read I do everything else too slowly, cause I get too involved in the book.
"I know you can
Straddle the atmosphere
A tiny storm in your teacup, girl
I know you can't
Battle the masses, dear
A tiny storm in your teacup"
Heh, so dodgy. Great, y'know.
"Pretty baby, time you're gonna take some
Pretty baby, love you're gonna make some
Little lady, hearts you're gonna break some
Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some"
Hah, great prechorus there. Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some. So me. Eh... >.> I'm so manipulative. And it's easier, cause I can make myself believe in whatever I'm saying. Twould make me a great lawyer, if I could be passionate about anything enough to be a lawyer...
"Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:34:30 AM)
What is it?
::Caitlyn::3::Teh Queen ::  :: Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some :: Temporarily RHCP-mad :: says: (12:34:51 AM)
Tell Me Baby. RHCP. I stole my sister's CD. 've gone slightly mad
Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:35:00 AM)
Ah, Flea
::Caitlyn::3::Teh Queen ::  :: Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some :: Temporarily RHCP-mad :: says: (12:35:05 AM)
Yep yep.
Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:35:05 AM)
Yes, he's a very good bassist"
Aha. Dane says Flea is good. I'll just be taking that as conclusive evidence, then =P
Hehe.
I'm not sure which one it is, but in the lyrics booklet, there's a photo of one of them, with this bluey purpley background, and whichever one it is, he's totally hot. Hehe ^^;.
I know a lot of the songs, but I don't know much of the fan trivia. I think some of the only trivia I know is that I Could Have Lied, which I haven't heard, is about Sinèad O'Connor, who I also have a song by... One More Day; half English, half Gaelic. Awesomeity. Well, almost half-half. Both choruses are in English.
But yeah...
"Lots of love, just keep it comin'
Making something out out of nothin'"
Oh, man. These lyrics are so messed up. Sorta near-nonsense I spout out, it makes sense, if you know the train of thought between the words, but for me I think through things so quickly I only catch snippets of what's going through my mind, and they make very little sense on their own. 'spretty cool, though.
Anyway... I be offski'd. Farewell, my shoelaced arthritic pancakes.
So I've practically finished this world issues assignment. It took about three hours. If I'd started earlier, it would've been done really quickly, and over with, but that's not the way I approach things. I also thought it could be the writer's mother - "Getting born in the state of Mississippi, papa was a copper and my mama was a hippie". Cause that would lead nicely into Dani California being about his 'mama' and her hippieness. Just random thoughts, though. I like the feel from Strip My Mind, it's the perfect music to lie around to. Just lie round, chill, read, think, it's great. The songs on the second CD took a lot more getting used to. I liked Tell Me Baby and 21st Century from the beginning, but I had to listen to the others for a bit before I warmed to them. They're pretty cool, though. Storm in a Teacup has funny lyrics... I like Make You Feel Better, too, it's a happy-makey-song... "Somehow, we'll make it, cause that's what they do"
"Something out there, where love is your only friend"
Anyways... Music, man. Awesome. I've no idea how I'd survive without it. It makes me happy, makes me sad, relaxes me, gets me hyper, I'd feel so blank without it. Like, more than I do anyway...
I was talking to... I think it was Pheenix-girl-person... if it wasn't her, it was Melissa (who is also a new addition to the awesome list =P), but I think it was Pheenix, talking to one of them, and I said something like, "I love music; it's a distraction, and I live on distractions.", and I realised, yeah, I do. I don't really do anything. Everything I do that I enjoy is simply a distraction from what I should be doing. Talking to people, listening to music, reading, gaming, drawing... They're all just ways to escape from real life, and the crap I 'have' to do, like school. Perhaps it's because I have so little real substance in my life, but everything I ever do seems to be completely unnecessary... meh. It keeps me entertained, I suppose.
Anyway. That's basically what I'm doing now. If you take out reading, I'm making use of all my distractions at once. I'm only not reading cause my books're in the other room, and also cause if I read I do everything else too slowly, cause I get too involved in the book.
"I know you can
Straddle the atmosphere
A tiny storm in your teacup, girl
I know you can't
Battle the masses, dear
A tiny storm in your teacup"
Heh, so dodgy. Great, y'know.
"Pretty baby, time you're gonna take some
Pretty baby, love you're gonna make some
Little lady, hearts you're gonna break some
Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some"
Hah, great prechorus there. Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some. So me. Eh... >.> I'm so manipulative. And it's easier, cause I can make myself believe in whatever I'm saying. Twould make me a great lawyer, if I could be passionate about anything enough to be a lawyer...
"Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:34:30 AM)
What is it?
::Caitlyn::3::Teh Queen ::  :: Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some :: Temporarily RHCP-mad :: says: (12:34:51 AM)
Tell Me Baby. RHCP. I stole my sister's CD. 've gone slightly mad
Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:35:00 AM)
Ah, Flea
::Caitlyn::3::Teh Queen ::  :: Kinda shady, tears you're gonna fake some :: Temporarily RHCP-mad :: says: (12:35:05 AM)
Yep yep.
Harmonic Cacophony says: (12:35:05 AM)
Yes, he's a very good bassist"
Aha. Dane says Flea is good. I'll just be taking that as conclusive evidence, then =P
Hehe.
I'm not sure which one it is, but in the lyrics booklet, there's a photo of one of them, with this bluey purpley background, and whichever one it is, he's totally hot. Hehe ^^;.
I know a lot of the songs, but I don't know much of the fan trivia. I think some of the only trivia I know is that I Could Have Lied, which I haven't heard, is about Sinèad O'Connor, who I also have a song by... One More Day; half English, half Gaelic. Awesomeity. Well, almost half-half. Both choruses are in English.
But yeah...
"Lots of love, just keep it comin'
Making something out out of nothin'"
Oh, man. These lyrics are so messed up. Sorta near-nonsense I spout out, it makes sense, if you know the train of thought between the words, but for me I think through things so quickly I only catch snippets of what's going through my mind, and they make very little sense on their own. 'spretty cool, though.
Anyway... I be offski'd. Farewell, my shoelaced arthritic pancakes.
Aiming for aimlessness
I have here a problem.
I want to waste time.
I can't waste time unless I'm trying to do school work, or something else. And here I am, trying to waste time, and not being able to think of nonsense to say! Not fair!
*whines*
My wrist hurts. Aggressive piano playing = pain.
And pins and needles in my foot. Gr...
And I'm cold. But meh :P
Hehe, the lyrics to Suck My Kiss are so dodgy. Awesomeness :P
Tell Me Baby - Red Hot Chili Peppers
They come from every state to find
Some dreams were meant to be declined
Tell the man what did you have in mind
What have you come to do
No turning water into wine
No learning while you're in the line
I'll take you to the broken sign
You see the lights are blue
Come and get it
Lost it at the city limit
Say goodbye
Cause they will find a way to trim it
Everybody
Lookin' for a silly gimmick
Gotta get away
Can't take it for another minute
This town is made of many things
Just look at what the current brings
So high it's only promising
This place was made on you
Tell me baby what's your story
Where you come from
And where you wanna go this time
Tell me lover are you lonely
The thing we need is
Never all that hard to find
Tell me baby what's your story
Where do you come from
And where you wanna go this time
Your so lovely are you lonely
Giving up on the innocence you left behind
Some claim to have the fortitude
To shrewd to blow the interlude
Sustaining pain to set a mood
Step out to be renewed
I'll move you like a baritone
Jungle brothers on the microphone
Getting over with an undertone
It's time to turn to stone
Chitty chitty baby
When your nose is in the nitty gritty
Life could be a little sweet
But life could be a little shitty
What a pity
Boston and a kansas city
Looking for a hundred
But you only ever found a fitty
Three fingers in the honeycomb
You ring just like a xylophone
Devoted to the chromosome
The day that you left home
This is the song that's currently replaying through my head... nonstop.... damnit... it's a pretty cool song, though.
Oh. Moi. Gawd.
I actually didn't post yesterday.
And the world didn't end, wow.
When I was online after school, I figured I'd post later that night. Later that night, I figured I'd just go to sleep.
I went to bed at 9.30 last night. Like... nine thirty. Sensible time. o.O
Which means I actually woke up, of my own accord, no alarm, no noisy family, at ten to eight this morning. Wow. And then I don't even have school, so I may as well have slept in.
Oh well.
On second thought, I don't have anything to say yet. Maybe I will later t'day.
Buh byes.
It is made of apples...
BaHAH!
Hi, everybody, I love you all again!
Hehe, I'm feeling hyper again. Hurrah!
Well, not quite, actually.
But certainly more hyper than before.
I cried again this afternoon, but then it was like hitting a peak of feeling crap, and then suddenly settling back down into being fairly good, if not yet hyper.
But yeah. Feeling rather improvéd.
Thanks mostly to a wonderful Someone and a song =P
Thank you, magician =p
Also thanks in part to a few randoms saying nice things to me or about me.
Thank you randoms.
Yay, music XD
Powderfinger!
Man, haven't heard this song in so long! The lyrics aren't exactly intellectual, but it's good list'ning.
§Baby I got you on my mind
Honey, you won't ever know
How much I need you by my side
Promise you won't ever go
I won't take no from you this time
Cause baby I got you on my mind§
Hehe, music.
§How long how long will I slide
Separate my side I dont
I dont believe its bad
Slit my throat
Its all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph
I thought it up it brought up the past
Once you know you can never go back
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Centuries are what it meant to me
A cemetery where I marry the sea
Stranger things could never change my mind
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Take it on the otherside
Take it on
Take it on
How long how long will I slide
Separate my side I dont
I dont believe its bad
Slit my throat
Its all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph
I thought it up it brought up the past
Once you know you can never go back
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Pour my life into a paper cup
The ashtrays full and Im spillin my guts
She wants to know am I still a slut
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Scarlet starlet and shes in my bed
A candidate for my soul mate bled
Push the trigger and pull the thread
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Take it on the otherside
Take it on
Take it on
How long how long will I slide
Separate my side I dont
I dont believe its bad
Slit my throat
Its all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph
I thought it up it brought up the past
Once you know you can never go back
Ive got to take it on the otherside
Turn me on take me for a hard ride
Burn me out leave me on the otherside
I yell and tell it that
Its not my friend
I tear it down I tear it down
And then its born again
How long how long will I slide
Separate my side I dont
I dont believe its bad
Slit my throat
Its all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph
I thought it up it brought up the past
Once you know you can never go back
Ive got to take it on the otherside
How long I dont believe its bad
Slit my throat
Its all I ever§
I heart RHCP =)
Scar tissue that I wish you saw
Sarcastic mister know it all
Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you ’cause
With the birds I’ll share
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view
Push me up against the wall
Young Kentucky girl in a push-up bra
Fallin’ all over myself
To lick your heart and taste your health ’cause
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view...
Blood loss in a bathroom stall
Southern girl with a scarlet drawl
Wave good-bye to ma and pa ’cause
With the birds I’ll share
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view
Soft spoken with a broken jaw
Step outside but not to brawl
Autumn’s sweet we call it fall
I’ll make it to the moon if I have to crawl and
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view...
Scar tissue that I wish you saw
Sarcastic mister know it all
Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you ’cause
With the birds I’ll share
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view
With the birds I’ll share
This lonely view...
Ah... I never figured out what those words in the chorus are, but according to this, that's what it is.
Can't stop addicted to the shin dig
Cop top he says I'm gonna win big
Choose not a life of imitation
Distant cousin to the reservation
Defunkt the pistol that you pay for
This punk the feeling that you stay for
In time I want to be your best friend
Eastside love is living on the westend
Knock out but boy you better come to
Don't die you know the truth is some do
Go write your message on the pavement
Burnin' so bright I wonder what the wave meant
White heat is screaming in the jungle
Complete the motion if you stumble
Go ask the dust for any answers
Come back strong with 50 belly dancers
[Chorus:]
The world I love
The tears I drop
To be part of
The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you
The world I love
The trains I hop
To be part of
The wave can't stop
Come and tell me when it's time to
Sweetheart is bleeding in the snowcone
So smart she's leading me to ozone
Music the great communicator
Use two sticks to make it in the nature
I'll get you into penetration
The gender of a generation
The birth of every other nation
Worth your weight the gold of meditation
This chapter's going to be a close one
Smoke rings I know your going to blow one
All on a spaceship persevering
Use my hands for everything but steering
Can't stop the spirits when they need you
Mop tops are happy when they feed you
J. Butterfly is in the treetop
Birds that blow the meaning into bebop
[Repeat Chorus]
Wait a minute I'm passing out
Win or lose just like you
Far more shocking
Than anything i ever knew
How about you
10 more reasons
Why i need somebody new just like you
Far more shocking than anything I ever knew
Right on cue
Can't stop addicted to the shin dig
Cop top he says I'm gonna win big
Choose not a life of imitation
Distant cousin to the reservation
Defunkt the pistol that you pay for
This punk the feeling that you stay for
In time I want to be your best friend
Eastside love is living on the westend
Knock out but boy you better come to
Don't die you know the truth is some do
Go write your message on the pavement
Burnin' so bright I wonder what the wave meant
Kick start the golden generator
Sweet talk but don't intimidate her
Can't stop the gods from engineering
Feel no need for any interfering
Your image in the dictionary
This life is more than ordinary
Can I get 2 maybe even 3 of these
Come from space
To teach you of the pliedes
Can't stop the spirits when they need you
This life is more than just a read through
Hehe.
I love my teddy bear. So much. Yes, I'm obsessed with my teddy bear. Get the fuck over it.
"To be madly in love could be exactly that - madness. The term "lovesick" is surprisingly accurate, explains writer Lauren Slater in this month's lead article. People experiencing romantic love, it turns out, have a chemical profile in their brains similar to that of people who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder. Love blurs the line between mental health and psychopathology.
Still, we can't resist the siren's song, and science has an explanation for that, too. Love, it seems, lights up certain areas of the brain and releases chemicals that provoke hyperactivity, recklessness, and exhiliration. That's why spellbound lovers stay up all night to see the sun rise, take extraordinary risks to see each other, or, as Britain's Edward VIII did, throw a whole country aside for "the woman I love." Love can be dangerous"
– Chris Johns, Editor, National Geographic Feb 2006.
Haha! Go science! That chemical is dopamine, and it's also in chocolate. I love chocolate =)
A new addition to my original awesome list, which is in one of the first two or three blogs, is Pheenix-girl-person! Cause she's awesome! And hyperactive and paranoid, and therefore my new twin. Hehe. =)
And David is also meant to be on there, but I forgot him at the time. *wince* Sowwy.
My whole family was asleep by ten o'clock t'night! Freaky!
You know what's awesome? Monty Python! Squeeeeeeee! Or, as Edward says, Mawnty Pythaaaawwn. Hehe, gotta love that accent.
Heh.
=)
So cute.
Anyway.
Does anybody know anyone called Anthony who isn't an utter dickhead? Just curious, cause I've never met a single nice person called Anthony. Which is a bummer, 'cause it's an alright kinda name.
I like names. I like etymology. Caitlin is an Irish name derived from the Greek word for 'pure'. Hehehe.
Oooh, name looky atty time. Picking a few people from my MSN contacts, friends, and family.
Freya - Norse goddess of love
Bridie - Irish variant of Bridget, patron saint of fire
Edward - "Happy guardian"
Josh - "God is salvation. The biblical figure who led the Israelites to the promised land."
Jess - "Wealthy. Used by Shakespeare for a character in The Merchant of Venice."
Mel - "The dark or black one."
Becky - "A heifer or a knotted cord. The wife of Isaac in the Bible." How very confusing...
Martin - "Of Mars, the Roman God of war."
Rosalind - "Old German: From the word for a horse. Latin: Beautiful Rose. Shakespeare's heroine in As You Like It."
Elspeth - "Consecrated to God. Also see Isabel and Lisa."
Peter - "A stone or rock. One of Christ's apostles."
Adair - "From the Oak tree near the ford."
Darcy - "Dark. Also from a place name and a Norman family name."
Angus - "Unique strength, outstanding."
Hamish - "Scottish form of James. The supplanter."
Nigel - "Dark, black-haired."
Connor - "A strong will."
Okay, I think I'm finished being etymologically obsessed for the moment.
Anyways, I have teh works to do.
Therefore, time to sleep.
Gewdnoight.
Vrooom, vroom, vrooooooom, BEEP, BEEP!!
I can see the sparkles.
The sparkles can see me.
They're watching me, they are.
They'll watch you too.
Then BOOM!
You won't even see it coming.
Ding-ding-ding.
I got new shorts, hurrah, hurrah.
And a sherbet ice cream from Wendy's. But I spilled sherbet all over my pants. =(
Spiffy twinkly lights.
And they're all watching.
I want a yellow balloon.
Father's Day t'morrer. Shmeeeeh...
Good morning starshine
Heheh. The song says "twinkle below". Heheheh.
Simple Simon
Met a pieman
Going to the fair.
Said Simple Simon
To the pieman
'What have you got there?"
To Simple Simon
Said the pieman
'Pie, you fool.'
As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits.
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?
Two. Whoever the writer is, and the man they met. Of course, there may have been others there, but it isn't noted.
I had a little nut tree, nothing would it bear
But a silver nutmeg and a golden pear.
The King of Spain's daughter came to visit me,
And all for the sake of my little nut tree.
I skipped over water, I danced over sea,
And all the birds in the air couldn't catch me.
Man, I remember my mother singing that when I was three or four...
Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross
To see a fine lady upon a white horse.
Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes,
She shall have music wherever she goes.
A, er... cock horse? No, don't explain. I don't want to know.
There was a crooked man
Who walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence
Against a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat
Which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together
In a crooked little house.
Hey, look at that, a poem about an old bent man who lives with a similarly bent cat and mouse. Good god. How very odd.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Touch the ground.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Turn around.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Show your shoe.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
That will do.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Run upstairs.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Say your prayers.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Blow out the light.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear,
Say good night.
That's not the version I knew. I remember skipping to a different variation of it at primary school... grade five, probably...
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground
Teddy bear, teddy bear, hands on your head
Teddy bear, teddy bear, go to bed.
OMIGOD! Kinky teddy bear sex!
*giggles* Okay, my immature mind has probably had enough for the night. Probably. Hehe.
Heh.
Wow, there's really no where a comment like that can lead.
Yay!
"Four stiff standers,
Four dilly-danders,
Two lookers,
Two crookers,
And a wig-wag!"
Oh. My. Fawking. Gawd.
I don't even want to begin to ponder what that might refer to.
Hehe.
Anyway.
I'm x-treme boredom'd now.
Therefore...
Run away!
Stabby pointy metal things that hurt
Well, well, well.
Piano, shmeh.
Felt like crap, and just couldn't handle the thought of school, so... mother let me stay home...
Came home... internetted while mother went on a run... got off internet when she came back, and back on again when she went to body balance... got yelled at by Someone I was talking to, which sorta screwed up my mood for the rest of the day, especially when the nurse lady at the blood test place jumped as she was poking my elbow with the needle thing cause someone said something about a rat. Stupid bleeding arm. Wouldn't stop blinking bleeding... and then I felt all dizzy and fell asleep for a while. I haven't felt dizzy after a blood test before, so I dunno if that was it or what... but hey...
Mm... head hurts... was trying to do World Issues work before, but not getting far... it's a pretty cool assignment... we get to do a report on basically any world issue, like poverty or sustainable energy, or obesity as an epidemic... pretty cool... but I still can't concentrate on it.
On the Australian amnesty international site, and probably on any other A.I. sites, there's a link to support them by buying music through them, and when you click on that, there's a 'Tell a Friend' link. When you click on that there's an awesome background, and me and my super technological skillxxørz turned it into my background on the laptop. Might try and make it into a blogskin. If I could be bothered. Or see if Jess wants to. Meh. Tis pretty cool.
I think you can get to it by clicking on this button...
In fact, they use one of the songs in a video, and it sounds pretty good. I think they're all Lennon covers, but I'm not sure. The one in the video is Isolation, which is apparently the one Snow Patrol covered. Sounds pretty cool.
Mm. Snow Patrol. Huggles to my music. I'm listening to Snow Patrol's 'Run' at the moment. One of my all time favourite songs. Tis good, tis good...
Myes... ate a whole pizza for dinner, and now feel sick... my head hurts and I'm sleepy... and not at all sure why I bothered to come online...
Meh, I'll stick around for half an hour or an hour or so, see if anyone interesting comes online... otherwise, I'm off to bed pretty early t'night.
Bobble.
Buh byes.
{~~ Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding, ice cream truck ;) ~~}
[Edit]
Just a continuation of my first impressions last time of the beta blogger - still have found no problems, and everything works wonderfully. I love the simplicity of adding widgets into the layout, but am glad they kept the html editing options. It just makes it a lot easier than having to trawl through pages of html to find the section I'm trying to edit. Everything just flows better. I still have to be careful not to fall into the trap I encountered with MSN spaces, of filling the page with endless lists that nobody will read. I may already have fallen into that particular trap... but I'll try not to dig myself in any deeper.
Ooh, blue person.
In fact, they use one of the songs in a video, and it sounds pretty good. I think they're all Lennon covers, but I'm not sure. The one in the video is Isolation, which is apparently the one Snow Patrol covered. Sounds pretty cool.
Mm. Snow Patrol. Huggles to my music. I'm listening to Snow Patrol's 'Run' at the moment. One of my all time favourite songs. Tis good, tis good...
Myes... ate a whole pizza for dinner, and now feel sick... my head hurts and I'm sleepy... and not at all sure why I bothered to come online...
Meh, I'll stick around for half an hour or an hour or so, see if anyone interesting comes online... otherwise, I'm off to bed pretty early t'night.
Bobble.
Buh byes.
[Edit]
Just a continuation of my first impressions last time of the beta blogger - still have found no problems, and everything works wonderfully. I love the simplicity of adding widgets into the layout, but am glad they kept the html editing options. It just makes it a lot easier than having to trawl through pages of html to find the section I'm trying to edit. Everything just flows better. I still have to be careful not to fall into the trap I encountered with MSN spaces, of filling the page with endless lists that nobody will read. I may already have fallen into that particular trap... but I'll try not to dig myself in any deeper.
Ooh, blue person.
Oh, the joys of cleaning up dog piss...
Photography was shmeh. It would've been really good, I finished the montage and everything, but then it corruptified itself. Which was pissy offy. I was gonna go to Hughes for lunch with Martin and maybe Ethan, but we ended up leaving photography really late, cause Martin was finishing his montage. Which turned out looking pretty dang spiffy. The photography teacher called it 'rad' until I glared at him, and he's like, "Um... 'neato'?" and I shook my head, so he tried again with "'Groovy'?", and I just gave up then.
Lunch was pretty meh. Pretty goddamn fucking meh. Piece of shit. But meh.
English was meh, again. More scribbling, more doing no work.
Japanese = watched some random anime thing - I just wrote 'anime' backwards without meaning to. eminA - which was boring as usual, but meh.
Sat up the back with Jess on the bus. Listened to music. Jess lookeded tired... Jess, if you read this, you need to get some sleep! You looked like you were going to pass out!
Meh... got home... online... Dunno... was talking to someone, and I suddenly felt really shit, and the Someone made me feel better by being sweet and darling and generally wonderful.
Missed dinner cause of babysitting. Meh. Wasn't too hungry anyway.
James and Josh were eerily well behaved... they just sat, ate their dinner, and watched TV... the biggest problem I had was getting Josh to brush his teeth, and even that wasn't particularly difficult. Outsmarting a five year old isn't hard. Well, not for most people...
"I already brushed my teeth."
"But Joshy, you were eating your dinner when I got here, and I haven't seen you brush your teeth."
"Yeah, but I brushed them before dinner."
"In which case they'll be dirty again now 'cause you had dinner."
"So what?"
"So all your teeth will fall out, and then you won't be able to eat any lollies. Now come on, brush your teeth."
"You can't make me, you don't know which toothbrush is mine."
"Weeell, this one says 'James' on it, so I'm guessing this one is yours."
"Gr..." *scowls and brushes teeth reluctantly*
"Thank you, Josh."
Anyway... James was sorta sickly, and he had some medication he had to take, and he did, like a good little boy... Milly, their puppy, was absolutely adorable, as always, and fell asleep on my lap for a while. When the boys went to bed, James put her in the laundry, and closed the door, and said that's what they were meant to do. I assumed he was right, cause he can normally be trusted to be fairly responsible. But after about an hour, she started growling at the door, so I opened to see what was up, and she ran out and widdled on the rug. Oh, joyous joy. Can't think of a single thing more fun than trying to get dog urine out of a carpet...
Meh...
Tired... head hurts.... and my eyes are trying to close themselves.. merf...
I'm trying out the new beta blogger. It's pretty cool. I like how I can change the colour scheme as well as the template; means I can get rid of that pink one that everyone - including myself - has been complaining about. Also lets me add lists without having to screw around with the html. Which makes life easier for a simpleton like myself. All in all, tis pretty good. Haven't encountered any problems yet; and it's an improvement on the old one. Not a stunningly amazing improvement, but certainly an improvement.
Anyway.
Sleepiness...
Gonna try and get t'morrer off school.
I just really don't want to go...
