So, uh, hi.
It's been a while.
Since April, apparently.
Grarr my monitor is doing some horrible shadow thing.
Nonetheless.
Life has been going goodfully. Before I blog on, I was going to scan some bloggish thing I was writing in maths but the scanner is in use, so I shall just type it up and hope it isn't too horribly long.
This stupid teacher marks us as 'absent' if we don't do enough work in class. If I get any more absences I'll v-grade and not be able to get out of here early. So I'm scribbling here w/ my book open and occasionally tapping on a calculator.
Okay, the things I have to do to finish early:
- ToK essay (now)
- English essay (Fri.)
- ToK oral (Wed.)
- English oral (oh shite, check due date)
- Maths in-class (Fri.)
- Any drama theory from now on
- Anything from psych. - corss-line testing?
- WEX in wk 10
- Give blood
- What else can I do as back-up?
Also, ew, I need new glasses. tjese are so icky.
But yeah, all of that list is do-able, and then I can get out of here in six weeks ^_^
And then I can move to Melbourne with Andrew. I'm excited. I think I'll be able to do it. I wouldn't on my own, but Andrew helps me to do anything I want to.
Woo. Deb (student services lady who is orchestrating this great escape for me) came in and I signed the thing saying I wasn't doing the AST. It just makes everything feel much more real =)
So does talking to Andrew about housing options. The idea of owning a house with him is exciting. I mentioned Melbourne to Stuart on MSN the other night. He said, "I'll be interested to see how long it takes you to come back." I know a lot of people probably think it's a rash decision, but I won't die or anything if it doesn't work out. I can always come back here to my family.
Mmm... in lighter news, Skye's having a party tonight =) It means that Andrew will get to meet Maddie before she goes back to New Zealand. Plus I can take my camera and get a bunch of photos to fill my photo album with =) It's a pretty photo album that Skye bought for me. Also I really need a party to relax in. Not that I really relax at parties.
Well, I relax in my own way. Which is by... not relaxing. By watcching everyone else get trashed and then taking care of them.
I'll have to scan this, put it on my blog along w/ a bit of an update, and get back into this whole bloggy thing. It's a good outlet for the overflow of thoughts I have. Of course, so is Andrew, but he's not always with me, and I like to write down thoughts.
Ooh, speaking of internettage - www.wastedtalent.ca - an awesome nerdy and cute webcomic look into the life of a rare creature - the female engineering student. If you like xkcd, chances are you'll like Wasted Talent.
Whee! Now to find some other way to waste the last few minutes of maths.

So what's all this about Melbourne, you ask?
Weeelll...
Andrew has been thinking about moving to Melbourne to work, and he raised the topic with me with the sentence, "I want to move to Melbourne for working, but I would have to leave you behind, and I don't want to leave you behind." So I said, straight up, "I'll come with you, then. Provided you want me to."
So after the two of us basically saying it casually, we thought about it. Andrew has been looking into housing (which appears to be a hell of a lot cheaper than ours here) and I had been readying myself to live without him for a couple of months because he would likely move down there pretty quickly after the end of this semester, and I would have had to finish school. And then Deb suggested I do accredited instead of tertiary, because that way I can get out of school, which is really not working for me, without dropping out as such. Which really kills two birds with one stone, in that I can now finish school and then move with Andrew whenever he does. Yes, I have thought about this properly, thank you very much. No, I have not yet raised the issue with my parents. I'd rather wait till I finish this term of school so that neither I nor they are worrying about school on top of it. Also by then, Andrew and I will have been going out a little longer and the parents will hopefully object less to the "But you've only been going out BLA long" side of it. Anyone who's seen Andrew and I together knows why we're so sure of ourselves as a couple. It's just right, it just works, without even having to think about it. But of course we don't spend a lot of time together in front of my parents, so they may not have seen that... it'd be good if I could spend a couple of weeks living with Andrew in Canberra, just to sort of check it out a little closer to home, but y'know.
Ooh, also in handy and nice news for me, I am about 2/3 of the way to getting my Ps.
I have 13 out of the 22 competencies from the lobgook marked off, leaving nine to go. So this means I will have my Ps by the time I finish school, which frees me up a hell of a lot, makes working easier (I have a job! I will get to that shortly), and may mean that I can stay over at Andrew's on weeknights more easily. This is joys for me :)
Then I just need to learn how to drive Andrew's Car. I can drive auto, I can drive manual, but Andrew's Car, she is a special creature, I will have to gain her trust before she will let me drive her.
But yes, a job! I look after a couple of kidlets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and will soon start teaching them piano on Wednesday afternoons. This should get me about $60 a week for 5 hours work. Now, they live gloriously close to my house - our streets basically come off opposite sides of the same more major street. But I would get paid more if I could collect them from school in a car, which I can currently not do. So, Ps would help with that.
What else...
Oh, Skye's party :)
It was pretty darn good, but I forgot my camera. However, one of the other people there had a camera and I'm in a couple of photos along with Maddie, Skye and Andrew, and I think also one of Mandy, so I am sending pokage via people in an attempt to get this person to upload the party photos to facebook, and then I can steal them... for my collection... mwahahah... :)
So uh yeah
That's basically what's been happening.
And I feel so much better than I've ever done before.
I feel older and younger all at once.
I feel safer, more confident, I can rely on myself more, but at the same time, I feel curious about the world again, I can try things out, I am not constantly apathetic and lethargic.
Life is good.
Certain aspects are meh, but in general it is good and in Andrew terms it is wonderful. Even school's not so bad now because it's nearly done and I have something to work towards.
Yay :)
Will hopefully keep up with updating a little more for a while longer before I forget again and then remember again with another burst of words.
Ooh, also Andrew builded me a puter! Which I am using now <3

I have done at least one constructive thing these holidays (so far)
And, I plan to do more. The constructive thing I've done so far, though, is make a bag :)
It's very pretty :)

The other things I plan to do are learn a new song on piano, and clean my room. If I manage to clean my room, I will upload photos as proof :P
But yes...
I am baby-sitting on this coming Wednesday, for some strangers who are going to give me a minimum of ten dollars an hour for eight hours. Rosalind baby-sits for them, but she's in the Blue Mountains on Wednesday, so they asked if she had any friends who could do it, so she rang me and I rang them and now I will have money.
So yay.
Anyway, hungriness.

Oh, the joys of cleaning up dog piss... Again?!!
Yesterday:
Went to my piano lesson instead of the year ten breakfast, because it was my last piano lesson ever and also my piano teacher's last piano lesson ever - he's not teaching anymore.
Farewell assembly was boring, nobody mucked up at all. Bleh.
We were meant to all go to Big Splash or sign out with a note and go home, but like... as if I was gonna go to Big Splash. Effort. Blerck. And of course I didn't have a note to not go, because that's just stoopid. And neither did Madeleine or Jared or Rosalind. So we just wandered off to the bus stop and went to Woden. We wandered round Woden for a while, and then Rosalind went off to meet someone else, then we wandered out to Phillip and wandered around there for a while, then we wandered back to Woden, and Madeleine and Jared went off to catch buses home and I wandered off homewards.
Throughout all that walking, Madeleine had these boots on. They were like... as long as a lead pencil that's whatever the normal length of lead pencils is long. I don't have a ruler and I'm crap at guessing lengths. But yes. Tiny boots, that were like, knee-high and with laces all up the side. And she walked round Woden, Phillip, and Woden again. My legs and feet were hurting enough having been wearing runners, I can't imagine how much those boots would have hurt...
But yes.
Got home, and almost immediately went back to Woden. Only this time it was driving, thank gawd, my feet were absolutely dead. And I got my licence!!
See?
I remembered to cover the number, but not my address. Man, I'm talented.
And the condition "s", means that... hang on, where'd I put it... here.
"Licence Conditions
S - Licensee must wear corrective lenses at all times."
Damn, they know I'm blind. Ah well.
But yes. After getting The Licence, we went and looked at shoesies ^-^
Which was fun.
But yes.
Babysitting last night.
Which is why I'm tired and have a bandaid on my knee.
Bandaid on the knee is... sort of an odd story.
You ever seen toilet paper ads where the puppy chases the toilet paper? My neighbours decided to put that to the test and rolled a roll of toilet paper past their puppy. The puppy pounced on the end and pulled it round the house, until I pounced and skidded along the floor to grab the roll. And made my knee bleed. So now I have a bandaid.
But yes.
I also have $40. Which is good.
Now to get pocket money off the parentals!
Also, babysitting involved cleaning up doggy piddle, again. Twitch, grumble.
But yeah...
Tired, now. Offwards time.
Wait, lyrics:
Stuck in my head, but I don't have the song. Damnit...

Wait, lyrics:
Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are.
I had to find you, tell you I need you,
Tell you I set you apart.
Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions,
Oh lets go back to the start.
Running in circles, Comin' up Tails
Heads on a science apart.
Nobody said it was easy,
It's such a shame for us to part.
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be this hard.
Oh take me back to the start.
I was just guessin' at numbers and figures,
Pulling your puzzles apart.
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart.
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start.
Runnin' in circles, Chasin' up Tails
Comin' back as we are
Nobody said it was easy,
Oh it's such a shame for us to part.
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be so hard.
I'm goin' back to the start.
Stuck in my head, but I don't have the song. Damnit...

Oh, the joys of cleaning up dog piss...
Photography was shmeh. It would've been really good, I finished the montage and everything, but then it corruptified itself. Which was pissy offy. I was gonna go to Hughes for lunch with Martin and maybe Ethan, but we ended up leaving photography really late, cause Martin was finishing his montage. Which turned out looking pretty dang spiffy. The photography teacher called it 'rad' until I glared at him, and he's like, "Um... 'neato'?" and I shook my head, so he tried again with "'Groovy'?", and I just gave up then.
Lunch was pretty meh. Pretty goddamn fucking meh. Piece of shit. But meh.
English was meh, again. More scribbling, more doing no work.
Japanese = watched some random anime thing - I just wrote 'anime' backwards without meaning to. eminA - which was boring as usual, but meh.
Sat up the back with Jess on the bus. Listened to music. Jess lookeded tired... Jess, if you read this, you need to get some sleep! You looked like you were going to pass out!
Meh... got home... online... Dunno... was talking to someone, and I suddenly felt really shit, and the Someone made me feel better by being sweet and darling and generally wonderful.
Missed dinner cause of babysitting. Meh. Wasn't too hungry anyway.
James and Josh were eerily well behaved... they just sat, ate their dinner, and watched TV... the biggest problem I had was getting Josh to brush his teeth, and even that wasn't particularly difficult. Outsmarting a five year old isn't hard. Well, not for most people...
"I already brushed my teeth."
"But Joshy, you were eating your dinner when I got here, and I haven't seen you brush your teeth."
"Yeah, but I brushed them before dinner."
"In which case they'll be dirty again now 'cause you had dinner."
"So what?"
"So all your teeth will fall out, and then you won't be able to eat any lollies. Now come on, brush your teeth."
"You can't make me, you don't know which toothbrush is mine."
"Weeell, this one says 'James' on it, so I'm guessing this one is yours."
"Gr..." *scowls and brushes teeth reluctantly*
"Thank you, Josh."
Anyway... James was sorta sickly, and he had some medication he had to take, and he did, like a good little boy... Milly, their puppy, was absolutely adorable, as always, and fell asleep on my lap for a while. When the boys went to bed, James put her in the laundry, and closed the door, and said that's what they were meant to do. I assumed he was right, cause he can normally be trusted to be fairly responsible. But after about an hour, she started growling at the door, so I opened to see what was up, and she ran out and widdled on the rug. Oh, joyous joy. Can't think of a single thing more fun than trying to get dog urine out of a carpet...
Meh...
Tired... head hurts.... and my eyes are trying to close themselves.. merf...
I'm trying out the new beta blogger. It's pretty cool. I like how I can change the colour scheme as well as the template; means I can get rid of that pink one that everyone - including myself - has been complaining about. Also lets me add lists without having to screw around with the html. Which makes life easier for a simpleton like myself. All in all, tis pretty good. Haven't encountered any problems yet; and it's an improvement on the old one. Not a stunningly amazing improvement, but certainly an improvement.
Anyway.
Sleepiness...
Gonna try and get t'morrer off school.
I just really don't want to go...
